Sholei Warns Odinga Against Going Back to the Streets
A section of Uasin Gishu County leaders have warned the opposition leader Raila Odinga against going back to demonstrations.
The National Assembly deputy speaker said this will not lower the high cost of living.
Led by Uasin Gishu county women representative Gladys Boss Shollei they condemned Odinga for holding public demonstrations and vandalizing people’s properties.
“The cost of unga cannot be reduced by vandalism in the streets; the cost of unga can only come down if we conserve our environment. Odinga should style up and accept that William Ruto defeated him the August polls, “said the deputy speaker.
Shollei further said that the solution to the high cost of living is eradicating climate change through conservation of forests.
“The reason why we have drought today is because we have depleted our forest cover then we end up without food. Let’s stop demonstrations and go back to the farm since this is the only way that will guarantee us the drop in the prices of Unga,” added Shollei.
