Bungoma Receives 650 Oxygen Cylinders Costing Over Sh 88M
Bungoma County government department of health has received 650 Oxygen cylinders from Amref funded by The Global Fund which are set to be distributed to five key health facilities.
The received equipment include; 650 Oxygen Cylinders, 16 Oxygen Splitters, 6 Piping and Manifold installation materials, 6 Oxygen Pulse Oximeter, while Oxygen kits will be delivered later.
The total value of requirements received costs Sh88, 549, 431.
Receiving the cylinders on behalf of the health and sanitation CEC Dr.Andrew Wamalwa, Deputy director health and sanitation Dr.Emmah Nyaboke state that the equipments will go a long way in countering respiratory health challenges across the county.
“This is a significant step in countering respiratory health challenges across the County and ensuring better access to healthcare for all,” she said.
Governor Ken Lusaka has been on the forefront to protect his legacy regime through ensuring the availability of drugs in all health facilities across the count.
“Healthcare is a very critical department, we will continue our collaboration with the National Government and the support of our partners in achieving our health agenda,” he said.
County Government of Bungoma is committed to furthering the health agenda and achieving universally affordable health service provision.
The Amref team had earlier met together with the health executive who lauded them for considering Bungoma has one of the counties to be benefit from.the partnership.
The health facilities to benefit from the oxygen cylinders include Chwele sub county hospitals, Sirisia, Cheptais, Webuye Sub County hospitals and Miendo dispensary in Webuye East constituency
