Governor Natembeya Honours a Woman Who Fought Robbers
Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya met Caroline Nafula, a shopkeeper, to recognize her bravery for wrestling off an alleged robber.
During the meeting, Nafula shared her experience and how she managed to protect her property from the robber.
Governor Natembeya praised her courage and thanked her for her quick thinking. He also appreciated her exemplary courage and said that it was an inspiration to the whole community.
He acknowledged her efforts and wished her success in her future endeavors.
“I’d like to express my gratitude for your bravery. You are an example of strength and courage, and your actions should be recognized,” remarked the Governor.
In order to combat crime and ensure the safety of its residents, the county boss also called on the community to work together.
Nafula, and her husband, Samwel Kamau, were preparing to close their shop when they were approached by an armed robber in the Friday, May 26, 8pm incident.
According to Nafula, the masked robber, armed with a G3 gun, ordered them to surrender and deliver over the day’s sales to him.
Nafula narrated that the robber fired, but fortunately, the bullet went through her cloth and hit the floor.
