I have Never Grabbed any Piece of Land-Kokwas
Kipkenyo Member of County Assembly David Letting Kemeli alias Kokwas has refuted claims that he was involved in grabbing church land.
Speaking during a public Baraza Kokwas said the land in which he subdivided from the A.I.C Kimoson Church was meant for the construction of ECDE.
“The donor gave a 1-acre piece of land to the A.I.C Kimoson church and 0.5 acres to the school. In fact, the church wants to grab the land set aside for the construction of the ECDE School and not me as purported by a section of the media,” said Kokwas.
“We have already started building Kimoson ECDE School and currently we have 35 ECDE learners. All parents and residents of this area have disagreed with the church’s action of closing the school” added the area MCA.
Kokwas further noted that he has never grabbed any piece of land or stolen property from anybody and said that many allegations and false accusations against him are politicized.
“I have no claims with anyone. There was a time when all journalists in Eldoret together with the government publicly asked for anyone with charges or accusations against me but no one showed up. I have not grabbed any land but implemented government property and I am going to do all it takes to build the school, “said the Member of the County Assembly.
Kokwas has sent a stern warning to the church and blamed its leadership for the closure of the road that leads to the school.
“ Pupils have to walk for a distance of 2 kilometers to access school because the church has blocked the road,” said Kokwas.
