Panic at Munyeki Primary School as Poison is Discovered in Water
There has been panic and distress at Munyeki Primary School, Nyandarua County after the poison was discovered in the water used for drinking and cooking.
According to the cook who first discovered the poison, the water appeared soapy when she was fetching it which made her think someone had put soap in the water.
He thereafter informed the deputy head teacher who went and took a look only to find out that some type of drug had been put in the water tank.
“I went to put water in the bucket and realized it had formed, I called the deputy who confirmed that the water had been poisoned, and we proceeded to inform others about it,” she said.
The Nyandarua governor, Dr. Kiarie Badilisha said that the occurrence has shocked everyone as such an act is uncalled for and should be highly criticized as it is inhumane to put children’s life at risk in such a manner, it should therefore not be tolerated.
“We cannot agree to such doings in this county or even country as they are very inhumane,”
