Amb. Karigithu Attends Conference on Maritime and Ocean Sustainability
Kenya-AU Backed candidate for IMO Secretary General position ambassador Nancy Karigithu has expressed gratitude for being honoured and privileged to attended an international conference on maritime and ocean sustainability.
Amb. Karigithu notes,
“I was honored to attend the Ruby anniversary and celebrations to mark 40 years of excellence in maritime education, training, and research by the World Maritime University held recently at their main campus in Malmo, Sweden. Under the aptly named panel title “Transparency and Accountability – Central to a Sustainable Maritime Future” we explored how being intentionally transparent and accountable is crucial for promoting fair competition, ensuring safety and environmental standards, and most importantly, fostering sustainable development. Thank you for the opportunity to be part of the eminent and distinguished panel speaking on these important issues.”
