The Chairman of Kakamega Homeboys FC, Cleophas Shimanyula, has ignited a war of words with Tusker FC coach Robert Matano in the build-up to the highly anticipated Mozzart Bet Cupfinal taking place this Saturday.

Speaking ahead of the game, Shimanyula acknowledged the immense significance of the match and expressed confidence in his team’s preparedness to claim victory in the final.

“I am aware that Matano has a tendency to rely on witchcraft to win games. Unfortunately for him, despite his dark efforts, he was unable to clinch the league title. The cup will elude him as well. This time, he will need to dismiss his witch doctor,” he added.
Matano has previously faced allegations of employing witchcraft, with Shimanyula’s attack following what many interpreted as an indirect attack on Matano by AFC Leopards tactician Patrick Aussems. In the recently concluded season, Aussems took to Twitter to denounce a manager in the FKF Premier League as a practitioner of black magic and labeled their methods as outdated. This incident occurred after a match between Leopards and Tusker FC, during which both managers engaged in heated confrontations on the touchline.
After losing the league title to Tusker last Sunday, Matano finds himself under immense pressure to secure the trophy and secure a continental spot, especially given the substantial investments made in the team during the transfer windows by the management.
