Principal Secretary of the State Department for Labour and Skills Development, Geoffrey Kaituko, today flagged off the beginning of the roadshow for the World Youth Skills Day Celebration. This year’s theme focuses on skilling teachers, trainers, and youth for a transformative future.

The PS noted that World Youth Skills Day serves as a powerful reminder of our collective responsibility to nurture and harness the potential of young individuals. The Skills Day also aims at equipping young individuals with the necessary skills for employment, decent work, and entrepreneurship.

He called upon governments, educational institutions, businesses, and communities to come together and redouble their efforts in equipping the youth with skills that can lead to opportunities, empowering the next generation to shape their destinies and positively impact society.
