President William Ruto issues over 10,000 title deeds in Kitui County

President William Ruto this afternoon issued over 10,000 title deeds to Kagundu Tharaka residents in Mwingi North, Kitui County.

The President was accompanied by Lands, Public Works, Housing and Urban Development Cabinet Secretary Zachariah Njeru and Lands and Physical Planning PS Generali Nixon Korir.

President Ruto assured that the Kenya Kwanza Government will fulfill it’s promises to Kenyans including issuing of title deeds and affordable housing.

“Politics were over long time ago,it is now time to work and see that Kenyans develop and enjoy low cost of living,” said the President.

He spoke about development projects including water dams, roads construction and schools in the county adding that Kitui will be prioritized during the dams construction.

CS Njeru said, the Government through his Ministry shall continue issuing title deeds across the Country without discrimination.

“Today we are issuing 10,887 title deeds in Kagundu Tharaka, we shall come back soon to issue other 20,000 titles so that Kenyans can have something to show for their land ownership,” Njeru said.

The CS noted that during the current administration,a total of 30,653 titles have been prepared, registered and are ready for issuance and other14,343 titles are undergoing processing at the National Titling Centre and will be ready for issuance before the end of December 2023.

Tourism CS Peninah Malonza, Kitui Governor Julius Malombe, MPs Rachael Nyamai (Kitui South), Nimrod Mbithuka (Kitui East), Mohamed Ali(Nyali), MCAs among others.
