The Eldoret National Polytechnic to Host Kenya Amputee Football Federation Trials

The Eldoret National Polytechnic is ready to host the Kenya Amputee Football Federation trials.

According to the Chief Principal Charles Koech at least 14 counties are set to battle for honours in the upcoming event.

The Counties include Uasin Gishu, Bungoma, Kakamega, Trans Nzoia, Kisumu, Nakuru, Siaya, Bomet, Nairobi, Narok, Mombasa, Kiambu and Machakos are expected to participate in the national tournament.
He said the event will start on 27th July to 30th July 2023.

“Sports Council have already visited our institution to assess the grounds and we are getting ready for the tournaments, one of the benefits that we expect from this is the uplift of our training ground. We have already given them our master plan they have a look at it and we expect that as we prepare for this event our sports grounds will be uplifted to international standards,” said the Eldoret National Polytechnic Chief Principal.

The grounds have been hosting college ball games while acting as a training ground for the institution’s rugby and football teams.

“Our sports grounds will also be upgraded to international standards which will be an advantage to our athletes and sportsmen and women. Following the identification as a possible Afcon training pitch, We are set for a major upgrade, which will see the construction of another football field,” he added.
