Langas Jicho Pevu Donates Foodstuffs to over 20 Families
Langas Jicho Pevu well-wishers group has donated foodstuff to twenty vulnerable families in Langas, Kapseret Constituency.
The families came from the six blocks.
The team led by the chair Collins Barasa say they saw a need of feeding the vulnerable people in the community to make society better
“We were moved by the state of families found in this village and we saw the need for doing the small good deeds we are capable of”, said Barasa
The well-wishers urged the community to be upfront in doing small jobs that can make them put something on the table not only depending on the aids as it can stop at any given time.
“You should indulge yourselves in something small that at the end of the day you have food to avoid malnutrition among children and even deaths”, said Tom
The team calls upon other well-wishers to support the vulnerable team as widows, and elderly in the community with food, and shelter as a way of eradicating poverty in the society and the country at large.
Langas being the second biggest slum in Kenya, the issues of poverty are becoming a challenge especially when the country’s economy is worsening.
