PS Geoffrey Kaituko Morning Thoughts
The Principal Secretary in the State Department of labour and skills development the Hon PS Geoffrey Kaituko has taken a moment to share with us his thoughts this morning.
“I am also very happy with the approval given by Cabinet to the upscaling of the Kenya Youth Empowerment and Opportunity Project (KYEOP) to the National Youth Opportunities Towards Advancement (NYOTA) Programme. Most of the agencies implementing the different components of the new program are in my state department, namely : NITA, NEA , NSSF and the NHRPD.”
“I am DELIGHTED by the good news of the passage of the “National POLICY on LABOUR MIGRATION” by CABINET . This is a MILESTONE in the governance and management of Labour Migration in Kenya. The new policy comes at the heels of the recently released “The Global Labour Market Strategy for Kenya”, which is a five year (2023-2027) plan for LM programming and implementation.”
