Life Lifters Kenya Organization has urged Well wishers to come out and help rural bright and needy students to further their education.
Speaking during the launch and fundraiser of Life Lifters Organization, Executive Director Cynthia Muhonja said most girls from rural settings drop out of school due to lack of school fees.
“I want to call upon all well-wishers to come out and help girl children from rural upbringing who are unable to continue with their education. As an organization we have tried our best but due to financial constraints only a few have been helped,” she said.
She says Life Lifters empower rural girls, take control of their lives, make informed decisions about their lives, and advocate for their own lives and well-being.
“We are a registered Non-governmental Organization that invests in disenfranchised smart privileged rural girls to enable them to access quality education, SRHR, information and economic activities and economic activities that positively impact their life outcomes,” she added.
She says they are privileged to work with rural girls since many of them lack access to quality and relevant information on Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights impedes their growth and education.
“ It is this lack that drives the majority of these girls to teenage pregnancy, early/ forced marriage.,”
Life Lifters Kenya is intentional about filling the knowledge gap that rural girls have in this area by ensuring that every girl that we incubate is exposed to accurate and age-appropriate information to help her make informed decisions on their Reproductive Health (RH) as a strategy for reducing unplanned pregnancies,” she said.
