“Thursday, 7th September, Various County Assemblies Speakers held a consultative meeting with the Chairperson Council of Governors, H.E Governor Anne Waiguru. The meeting’s agenda included addressing the current challenges facing County Assemblies and finding ways to mitigate them.
Amongst other things, We extensively discussed on harmonious working relationship between County Assemblies and County Executive, effective oversight, granting of financial autonomy to County Assemblies as well as ensuring the establishment of the Ward Development Fund that will aid in the delivery of essential services to the ward level.
She expressed her great support in the realization of these goals and emphasized on the need for a good working relationship between the County Assemblies and the County Executives as this will allow efficiency in carrying out their respective mandates.”
