The principal Secretary in the state department of TVET Dr Esther Muoria Serves this nation with dedication, acumen, integrity and strong will.
During monitoring of the marking exercise for the July/August 2023 Competency Based Assessment in which 7000 trainees were assessed; this written assessment contributes 40% of the full qualifications whilst the Portfolio of Evidence (POE) comprising of the continuous practical assessment marks contributes the remaining 60%.

I take this opportunity to laud TVET CDACC for doing commendable work. During today’s visit in Naivasha, I implored TVET CDACC officers to redouble their efforts and ensure that the CBET approach to training takes root and addresses social ills such as youth unemployment and the skills gap.

I later joined the TVET Act review committee.
For the TVET sector to reach the level that Kenya Kwanza Government envisages, it must be properly anchored in law. The proposed amendments are intended to incorporate recommendations by the Presidential Working Party on Education Reforms and to ensure that overlaps and inconsistencies in the existing law are removed.”
