Eng. Kiragu on importance of Archiving

Limuru member of parliament The Honorable Eng kiragu Chege has taken a moment to share with us the importance of archiving and proper documentation.

“Archiving should be regarded as a critical component of any organization and should be incorporated into every organization’s records management strategy. Archives are live historical documents. They are valuable to companies because they provide documentation, explanation, and justification for both past and current actions.

Tuesday, 3rd October 2023; IN PHOTOS — As the National Assembly, Broadcasting and Library service committee where, I am the Vice chair, we visited the National Archives in Nairobi with the sole aim of Understanding the role and activities of the National Archives, reviewed some of the documents in the custody and the essence of archiving records.

Based on the observations of the importance of an archives, as a committee we unanimously agreed to work with the National Assembly to establish a full fledge Archive facility at Parliament of Kenya.”
