Eldoret: Uasin Gishu County Assembly Closses Down
The Eldoret High Court has suspended Uasin Gishu County Assembly sittings.
This is after Eldoret bases huma Rights activist Kimutai Kirui challenges the legality of the assembly’s composition.
Kirui says the composition did not meet the gender requirements of the Kenya’s constitution.
Justice Wananda Anuro ordered temporary suspension of all sittings of the Assembly pending the hearing and determination of the matter of suspension of the Assembly will be mentioned for further directions on October 18
