Micro Small Enterprises Authority Meru office, along with the Deputy Principal, International Labour Organisation representative, and the Head of Building and Civil Engineering from Karumo Technical and Training Institute, conducted a courtesy visit to the Akiithi Juakali Association within the Ngundune CIDC.
The primary goal of this visit was to inspire youths who have graduated from the Institute to embrace entrepreneurship and foster product development.
Karumo Technical and Training Institute, situated in the serene surroundings of the Leeward side of Nyambene Hills in Meru County, stands out as a cutting-edge educational institution and was recently recognized as the best in Kenya.
During the visit, various areas of synergy were discussed, including formalizing groups and artisans under the Institute into MSE Associations under the guidance of MSEA.
The Institute committed to providing facilitators for training youths in technical and entrepreneurial skills, while MSEA agreed to advise and facilitate the development of common user infrastructure to support MSE value chains.
This collaborative effort aims to empower local youth and promote economic growth in the region, building on the success and excellence of Karumo Technical and Training Institute.
