The humanitarian activities mounted in Webuye west by Olkaria member of county assembly in Nakuru have shaken shaken political class in region.
Word is rife on the ground Olkaria MCA Peter Palang’a who also the leader of minority in Nakuru county assembly is positioning to make a stab in Webuye west parliamentary politics.
Despite mixed signals,the Webuye born MCA has left many in quesswork after calling on his potential opponents and anxious residents to delink his humanitarian gesture with 2027 politics.
As one way of giving back to the community, Palang’a recently organized a successful free medical camp that saw several residents benefit from free medical checkup and treatment.
Youths have also been tipped to get knowledge in the world of digital through sponsoring a two month training.
“The training aims at equipping youths with digital knowledge during the long December holiday”said Palang’a.
But in the event he bows to sustained pressure from voters and venture into politics,he is likely to face off with President William Ruto ally Dan Wanyama who is the incumbent and Ford Kenya Kelly Walubengo among others.
According to Palang’a,”Humility goes along way in building character, the kind of character that is a solid foundation for great success”.
Palang’a humanitarian activities has caused ruckus with a section of opinion makers from Webuye west constituency calling on perceived wealthy individuals to emulate similar gesture instead of only becoming visible during political campaigns hunting for votes.
Palang’a has promised to work with other like minded stakeholders in support for vulnerable individuals.
In collaboration with other well wishers,he plans to map out an innovative plan to uplift youth, women and elderly across the constituency.
