MP Salasya Blames Governor Barasa Goons For Attacking Him

Mumias East Member of parliament Peter Salasya now blames governor Fernandez Barasa’s goons for attacking him during a church service.

He alleged that the goons are working for Kakamega Governor Fernandez Barasa.

“I am grateful to my security detail for ensuring that no one was seriously injured in the attack. However, I am deeply disturbed by the fact that such an attack would take place in the first place,” said the Mumias East MP.

“I have been a vocal critic of Governor Barasa’s policies, and I believe that this attack is an attempt to intimidate me and silence my dissent. However, I will not be silenced. I will continue to speak out against the injustices that are happening in Mumias, and I will continue to fight for the rights of the people of my constituency,” he added.

He called on Governor Barasa to immediately condemn this attack and to hold his goons accountable. I also call on the police to investigate this attack thoroughly and to bring the perpetrators to justice.

“The people of Mumias deserve better. They deserve a governor who will work for them, not against them. They deserve a governor who will put the interests of the people first, not his own political interests,” he said.

“I urge the people of Mumias to stand up for their rights and to demand better from their governor. We cannot allow Governor Barasa to continue to bully and intimidate us. We must stand together and fight for the Mumias that we deserve,” he added.
