Jubilee Party Responds to Jeremiah Kioni Cases
Jubilee party had on Friday issued a press statement on the multiple cases filed by Jeremiah Kioni the Secretary General Jubilee party following his expulsion from the party.
Speaking during a press briefing in Jubilee headquarters,the party said the cases filed are pending hearing and determination is only a matter of time before they are concluded.
“We have continued to obey the Conservatory orders issued in those cases that require the status quo on the leadership of jubilee to be maintained as per The Gazette notice”, Said Jubilee party in a joint press statement.
According to the party, Kioni continues to abuse his goodwill from the court while the court cases are ongoing and while the Conservatory orders are in place kioni has purportedly to single handedly recognize the organs of the party which it is not only highly presumptuous but also grossly in contempt of court .
The party said Kioni wanting leadership style is not surprising to the leaders of jubilee however he has no power to do the following things which he has been doing lately.
Purporting to convene any party organ meeting.
Purporting to replace NEC members with non members of jubilee.
Writing to the registrar of political parties on the affairs of jubilee without authority to the relevant organs.
Writing dismissal letters to members of the internal dispute resolution committee and the national disciplinary committee.
Writing to speakers of the Senate National Assembly and county assembly on purported changes to leadership and committee membership in the respective houses.
“ Our legal team has been instructed to bring to the attention of the High Court the contemptuous manner in which kioni continues to treat its orders and as such apply for the setting aside those conservatory orders so that Kioni can be free to launch his recently established party kanwene party”, Said Jubilee party on a press statement.
