Raising Awareness About KNQA
Principal Secretary in the State Department of Technical Vocation Education and Training (TVET) Dr. Esther Muoria was honoured to preside over the official opening of the Workshop to Raise awareness on the Kenya National Qualifications Framework (KNQF) for the New National Polytechnics in Naivasha.
She was accompanied by the KNQA Ag. Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Alice Kande.
This workshop aims at sensitizing the New National Polytechnics on the Kenya National Framework so that they can move with speed towards acquiring the Qualifications Awarding Institutions (QAI) accreditation. The new status will enable them to develop, implement, assess their own curricula, and issue certificates.
She noted,
“I acknowledged the good job done by the Principals in the implementation of Competency Based Education and Training programmes so far and challenged them to enhance their collaboration with the industry.”
