Eldoret: Muslims Applaud Court Ruling
Muslims from Eldoret have applauded the Court ruling dismissed a constitutional petition challenging the leadership of the Registered Trustees Muslim Association Mosque Committee Eldoret.
Eldoret High Court Judge Justice Anuro Wananda said the petitioner is not a member of the respondent organization and therefore has no locus stand to bring this petition.
Led by Sheikh Mohammed Hussein of Jamia Mosque in Eldoret town they termed the ruling as long-awaited justice.
“As Muslims from Eldoret and Uasin Gishu at large we are happy with the Court ruling against the Jamia Mosque, we are happy that we can now continue developing our property which had been halted by cases which were in court,” said Sheikh Mohammed Hussein.
He spoke during the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of Jamia Waqf Plaza which when complete will bring development to residents in the County, help orphans, and help the less fortunate in the society.
“Any person who has any intentions of taking our mosque to court it will not succeed since you cannot fight Allah,” he added.

Mohamed Jama chair Somali Community noted that they can now continue with their day-to-day activities since it was halted for many years.
“At least we have now ended the error of fake cases which had no grounds and now open a new chapter of development. We thank Allah for bringing us this victory,” said Juma.
