Governor Bii Presides Over the Inaugural Eldoret Beauty College Graduation

Governor Jonathan Bii congratulated the graduates of Eldoret Beauty College, formerly known as Mwangi’s Institute. He commended them for their admirable choice to pursue careers as beauty therapists.

Governor Bii, while gracing their inaugural graduation ceremony where 202 graduands graduated, urged them to utilize their skills to enrich and develop themselves further challenging them to work on all therapeutic-related aspects to see them benefit.

“I want to thank the Director, John Mwangi for not only opening this institution but also employing our youths. It is important to train young people on hands-on skills to empower themselves,” said Governor Bii.

The institute has employed at least 200 youths spread in various beauty institutions across the town, an indication that Eldoret town is an economic hub.

Mwangi’s Vision

According to Mwangi, his aim when he established the institute was to empower young people and this noble idea has come out to be a reality.

Mwangi said Eldoret town has over 3500 salons and 11000 youths have secured employment from these business entities.

County Executive Committee Member for ICT, Youth, and Sports Eng. Lucy Ng’endo’s Speech

County Executive Committee Member for ICT, Youth, and Sports Eng. Lucy Ng’endo noted that it is paramount for every youth to instill moral values geared towards doing the right things reiterating that her docket under Nguzo number three focuses on youth talent development and skills.

She also called on the graduates to take advantage of e-learning, master customer service techniques, brand themselves, and observe integrity when handling their clients.

Speaker County Assembly Hon. Phillip Muigei congratulated the graduands for a job well done.

“I want to congratulate you on your graduation , this is a noble course, hands-on skills is the way to go since one can be able to employ his or herself after completing his or her course, lets embrace this courses,” he SAID.
