Hon Sunkuiya: We Won’t Watch As Our Land is Ceded Unprocedurally

The Honorable Member of Parliament for Kajiado West, the Hon MP George Sunkuiya has reiterated that the Maa Community has been losing land which has been annexed Unprocedurally thereby leaving the pastoralist community empty handed.

According to the Hon MP, upto date more than one million in acreage of land belonging to the Maa Community has been lost.

Speaking passionately about the Keekonyokie Community land which is a hot potato, the Hon MP underscored the fact that the land belongs to the Keekonyokie Community and that no amount of threat, intimidation, coercion or any other tactic will make the community cede the land..

Flanked by other leaders including his predecessor Moses Sakuda, Peter Mositet and The County Assembly Speaker, they called upon his excellency the President Dr William Ruto to make sure he involves the leaders and the community at large before rolling out any development project on the same piece of land.
