Turbo Police Boss Assures Residents Of Security During Festive Season
Turbo Subcounty OCPD Edward Masibo has assured residents of security during the December festive season.
He said everything was in order; therefore, no cause for alarm since security had been heightened.
“I want to assure residents that as we head for Christmas and New Year celebrations we have deployed more security officers who will be carrying out regular patrols to ensure that Mwanachi’s life is safe,” said Masibo while speaking to the press in his office.
He said they have intensified patrols day and night within Eldoret township and its environs where patrols are being done both on foot and motorized patrols.
The Turbo Sub County Police Commander revealed that officers have been recalled from their annual leave until the festive season is over.
“We have also recalled our officers who were on leave for residents to celebrate Christmas holidays without any problems. Residents should ensure they embrace the Kumi initiative by knowing the whereabouts of their neighbors since security starts with you,” he added.
He advised those travelling to the village should ensure their premises are well locked and at least one person left behind to man the house.
“Those traveling, should not board overloaded vehicles, and drivers should avoid alcohol at all costs since it will be like committing suicide,” said Masibo.
He noted that they have deployed traffic officers along the highways partnering with NTSA officials to ensure that unroady worthy vehicles are detained and owners prosecuted
“I want to urge residents to continue acting as our watchdog by giving us information and we will treat the information with confidentiality and act on it with immediate effect,” he said.
