Former Kesses MP Dr Swarup Mishra

Dear Fellow Kenyans,
As we gather with our loved ones to celebrate this joyous season of Christmas, I am filled with a profound sense of gratitude and reflection. This time of year offers us a precious opportunity to come together, set aside our differences, and embrace the spirit of forgiveness that can truly heal our nation.

The past year has undoubtedly presented us with alot of challenges and, at times, tested our individual strengths as well as our national unity. However, in the true spirit of Christmas, let us extend a hand of forgiveness to one another. Forgiveness is not a sign of weakness but a testament to the strength that lies within each of us. It is a gift we give not only to those who may have wronged us but, more importantly, to ourselves.

In the coming year, let us wipe the slate clean and start afresh. The power of forgiveness has the potential to mend the wounds that may have divided us. Just as the star of Bethlehem guided the way for the wise men, let forgiveness guide our path towards a more harmonious and united Kenya.

As a leader, I am not exempt from acknowledging the mistakes of the past. I too am committed to learning from them and, with humility, seeking your forgiveness. Together, let us create a nation where forgiveness reigns supreme, where understanding triumphs over discord, and where the bonds that connect us are stronger than any differences that may attempt to pull us apart.

As we bid farewell to 2023 and usher in 2024, let it be a year of healing, reconciliation, and progress. Let us celebrate our diversity and recognize the strength that comes from standing united. May the spirit of forgiveness be the guiding light that illuminates our path towards a brighter, more prosperous future.
Wishing you and your loved ones a Merry Christmas filled with love, joy, and the warmth of forgiveness.
With sincere hope and heartfelt wishes,
Dr. Hon. Dr. Mishra Kiprop Arap Chelule, CBS
