Jalango Recognized for His Exemplary Work

Lang’ata member of parliament The Honorable Phelix Odiwuor alias Jalango has been acknowledged for his exemplary work.

The positive vibe emanated from the Hon Principal Secretary in the State Department of TVET the Hon PS Dr. Esther Muoria who noted:

“I am grateful for the support that Hon. Phelix Odiwuor (Hon. Jalang’o), the Member of Parliament for Langata Constituency, is giving to Lang’ata Technical Vocational College through the National Government Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF). Today, I visited the college with Hon. Jalang’o and interacted with the staff, trainees, and constituents who were present.

I underscored the critical role that technical vocational education and training is playing in positioning the country’s industrialization in the global arena. To realize this, trainees have to be well equipped with competent skills through proper pedagogy and active involvement during training activities.

I implored the constituents to enroll in various programmes offered under TVETs, including the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). I called upon and guided the skilled but uncertified workers who were present to register for assessment following approval of the RPL policy. This will enable them to take advantage of local and international jobs alongside other graduates certified in formal education.”
