The announcement signals the end of prohibitive import charges, particularly on Kenyan tea. H.E President Cyril Ramaphosa warmly welcomed Kenya’s commitment to deliver tea and other products in the coming weeks, assuring Kenya of South Africa’s unwavering support.
Also honoured to witness the historic launch of the first cargo consignment by the Republic of South Africa destined for the Kenyan market under the Guided Trade Initiative, coinciding with the AfCFTA Council of Ministers meeting in Durban.
