Implementing Strategies of Improving the Water Supply For Critical Department

A borehole has been drilled at the Uasin Gishu County Yard to improve the water supply to critical sections under the Department of Roads, Transport and Public Works.

Chief Officer Roads Eng. Abraham Kiptalam says the move will increase the availability of the resource to the fire and rescue section, to enhance its core role of responding to emergencies such as fire outbreaks.

He noted that it was a milestone towards achieving water sufficiency for the department.

The move will extend to provide water to the Transport and Mechanical Sections and address cases of water shortage at the crucial section responsible for managing and maintaining the county fleet among other numerous uses.

The drilling process was witnessed by the Deputy Director of Water, Henry Lang’at, and the Officer in charge of the Transport section Stanley Kosgey.
