Jubilee Party Fully Behind Raila Odinga
The Jubilee Party led by the Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni has declared unequivocal support for the candidacy of the Right Honorable Raila Amolo Odinga for the AU position.
Hon. Kioni in a news conference on Thursday in Nairobi, termed the Right Hon. Raila Amolo Odinga, the Azimio la Umoja leader as the best candidate for the job.
Raila Odinga on Thursday officially declared his interest in the African Union (AU) Commission chairmanship.
The former prime minister has said he is ready to serve in that position, having previously held the position of AU High Representative for Infrastructure. Odinga, who was accompanied by former Nigerian president Olusegun Obasanjo, said he has consulted widely over the matter.
Hon. Kioni also announced that the Jubilee Party is still strong and vibrant and that it is the party that will redeem Kenya from oppression and heavy-handedness being executed by the incumbent. Most Kenyans have been crying foul over the punitive taxes the regime has over imposed on them.
On the same vein, Hon. Teddy Kenyatta, the Chairman of Nairobi Jubilee MCAs noted that they are solidly behind the Party leader His Excellency Hon Uhuru Kenyatta and that nothing will sway them.
