Governor Natembeya Nawiri Fund Beneficiaries Against Selling Tender

Governor George Natembeya has warned Nawiri fund beneficiaries against selling county tenders.
The fund was launched last week, and majority of the beneficiaries are being considered for the tenders.

Governor Natembeya regretted that despite his efforts to empower locals economically, some individuals are planning to cheaply sell the tenders they will be given.

The governor is however optimistic that he will implement strategies to help in alleviating poverty.
The governor was addressing mourners at Bidii in the outskirts of Kitale during the burial of Ronald Masengeli.

The deceased was a leader in Luhya council of elders and respected elder of salvation church of Kenya.
Natembeya promised to start distributing free seeds to vulnerable farmers in the area.

This he said will increase food production for both domestic use and surplus for sale.

His government the county boss promised start disbursing bursary cheques soon to enhance education of the needy students from the county.

“We can only make tomorrow’s leaders by educating them today,that is why we have to make education affordable to all by availing the bursary “he added.

In the disbursement,10,000 students from humble background are slated to benefit.

He said his administration has availed all resources to be used in road construction and maintenance.
The governor described the late Masengeli as a person who exhibited a virtue of love, respect and also advocated for discipline and education.
