On Tuesday morning, Investment, Trade and Industry Cabinet Secretary Rebecca Miano EGH had the honor of joining His Excellency President William Ruto for the launch of Nexgen Packaging Kenya EPZ Limited. Nexgen’s addition to the 170 licensed EPZ companies nationwide is a significant milestone for our EPZ program.

Their commitment to invest USD 2 million in this project, adding Kenya to their portfolio of 19 global operations, speaks volumes about Kenya’s status as a preferred investment destination globally.

President Ruto noted:
“Our strategic interventions in the textile and apparels sub-sector have provided Kenya with a competitive advantage, attracting investors and growing the manufacturing base. This has not only led to increased exports, but also expanded job opportunities for factory workers and over 40,000 cotton farmers.

An $11 million partnership between Kenya and the United States will boost the textile and apparels sub-sector to a new level.”
