Residents Commend Governor Natembeya for Road Development Efforts
Residents of Chepchoina ward in Endebess subcounty are expressing gratitude towards Governor George Natembeya for his dedication to improving and expanding road infrastructure in the region. During a recent road inspection conducted by a committee led by Pastor Dan Wasike, locals voiced their appreciation for the significant progress made under the governor’s leadership.
Among the notable achievements highlighted by Pastor Wasike were the opening of the GSU junction-Nabeki-Masenge Cherubai road and the Twiga Rural-Siko Kamwana road, both of which were previously inaccessible. Residents emphasized the newfound ease of transportation for agricultural produce and medical emergencies, attributing it to the governor’s development initiatives.
The committee, accompanied by Governor’s Delivery Unit Director Samuel Ereng and a team of engineers and officials, conducted inspections on several roads, including Mowlem-Kietkei, Twiga-Njoro-Mwamba primary, and Dam Junction-Njoro Secondary roads. Ereng emphasized the importance of completing pending projects promptly, instructing contractors to finalize their work by the following week.
In line with the commitment to quality and efficiency, the Department of Roads has initiated the process of disbursing payments to contractors. However, thorough inspections of completed projects are mandatory before any payments are made, ensuring that only deserving contractors receive compensation for their work.
Governor Natembeya’s administration remains steadfast in its dedication to enhancing road infrastructure and ensuring timely payments for contractors. With a focus on sustainable development and community welfare, the administration continues to prioritize the improvement of essential infrastructure to benefit all residents of Endebess subcounty.
