Free Medical Camp by Gladys Boss Foundation and Passion for Giving Achieves Milestone Success
The free medical camp organized by the Gladys Boss Foundation in collaboration with Passion for Giving, a non-governmental organization based in California, USA, reached a significant milestone on its second day of operations. Held at St. Brigitta’s Mission Hospital, the camp has been met with overwhelming support from the local community and healthcare professionals alike.
Since its launch, the camp has successfully screened 731 individuals and provided essential medication. In addition, 15 surgeries have been performed out of 74 identified cases, with the remaining procedures scheduled to be completed throughout the duration of the camp.
Gladys Boss Sholei, Uasin Gishu Women Representative and founder of the Gladys Boss Foundation, expressed her satisfaction with the camp’s progress. “We are incredibly pleased with the success of the medical camp so far,” Sholei said. “It’s inspiring to see so many community members benefiting from this initiative. The collaborative efforts of Passion for Giving and our dedicated volunteers have made a real difference, and we are excited to continue providing these vital services.”
The medical camp is set to continue until July 27, 2024, offering free medical consultations, screenings, and treatments to residents of Uasin Gishu County. Community members are encouraged to visit the camp to take advantage of the available healthcare services.
