Going Beyond Call of Duty in Service to All
A legislators role might be three fold according to the Constitution of Kenya 2010 – representation, legislation and oversight.
But for one Member of Parliament, she goes the extra mile in serving her constituents. She is the Member of Parliament for Mwea Mary Maingi.
Mary Maingi is kindhearted, compassionate and enthusiastic to place a smile on everyone’s face.
In that regard, she over the weekend conducted a medical camp, because she cares, and she is a believer that health is wealth. She notes,
“A healthy nation is indeed a wealthy nation.
During yesterday’s medical camp, we were able to provide assorted medical equipment including wheelchairs, knee braces and corsets for back pain management to those in need.
My aim with these medical camps is to ease the burden on families and offer them access to quality healthcare. I am committed to continuing to host them, ensuring that no corner of Mwea Constituency is left untouched, as people gain access to quality, free services from the best specialists brought closer to them.”
