Kenyatta National Hospital Leaders Sign Performance Contracts for the New Financial Year
Senior Directors, Directors, and Heads of Departments from both Clinical and Corporate Services at Kenyatta National Hospital have signed their performance contracts for the new financial year. The signing ceremony, overseen by Chief Executive Officer Dr. Evanson Kamuri, EBS, CBS, marks a significant step towards enhancing operational effectiveness and accountability at Kenya’s premier medical institution.
Dr. Kamuri emphasized the importance of collaboration and commitment in achieving the hospital’s targets. “Achieving our targets requires open dialogue with stakeholders. Engagement is the essence of teamwork. The Performance Contract document serves as a guide, and the government is treating it with the seriousness it deserves, so we must approach it with the appropriate level of commitment,” Dr. Kamuri stated.
The performance contracts outline a clear roadmap for the hospital’s implementation and monitoring strategies. These strategies will be executed through an annual implementation plan and a balanced scorecard, both of which are aligned with the hospital’s overarching strategic plan. This structured approach is expected to drive the hospital’s efforts towards achieving its goals effectively and efficiently.
