Governor Jonathan Bii Highlights Commitment to Nguzo Kumi and Inclusivity at Senate Committee Hearing
During a session of the Senate Standing Committee on National Cohesion, Equal Opportunity, and Regional Integration, Uasin Gishu Governor Jonathan Bii showcased the progress his administration has made in aligning with constitutional and statutory requirements through its adherence to the Nguzo Kumi principles.
Governor Bii emphasized the critical role of Nguzo Kumi—an initiative aimed at reinforcing democratic values and social cohesion—in bolstering compliance with legal mandates and fostering inclusive governance. His administration’s dedication to these principles has been instrumental in enhancing their adherence to constitutional standards.
Significant strides have been made under Governor Bii’s leadership in promoting inclusivity across various demographics. In line with Section 53(6) of the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act, Cap. 412 (C), Governor Bii’s administration is also focusing on implementing affirmative action measures.
