President William Ruto Advocates Multi-Agency Approach for Nairobi’s Environmental Restoration
In a recent address at the Kenya School of Government in Lower Kabete, President William Ruto emphasized the critical role of a multi-agency approach in the Climate WorX programme. This initiative aims to bolster efforts in restoring and preserving Nairobi’s environmental ecosystem.
President Ruto highlighted Nairobi’s dual significance as both Kenya’s capital city and a global leader in environmental stewardship. He underscored the importance of collaborative efforts among various government agencies, local authorities, and community stakeholders to maintain the city’s green and clean status.
“The Climate WorX programme represents a pivotal step in our commitment to environmental conservation,” President Ruto stated. “Our goal is to ensure that Nairobi not only meets but exceeds global standards in sustainability and ecological health.”
The President’s remarks came during a meeting with National Government Administration Officers from Nairobi County. The session focused on strategizing and aligning resources and efforts across different sectors to achieve comprehensive environmental restoration.
President Ruto called for a unified approach to tackle environmental challenges, urging all involved parties to work together in implementing effective and innovative solutions.
