Empowering Communities: National Government Affirmative Action Fund Delivers Essential Support
The National Government Affirmative Action Fund (NGAAF), under the leadership of CEO Roy Sasaka, is making significant strides in community empowerment through sustainable initiatives. In partnership with Marsabit County Member of Parliament Canon Naomi Waqo, the organization recently launched a vital support program that aims to uplift local households.
In a remarkable effort to combat food insecurity, NGAAF delivered 200 bags of rice and 200 bags of beans, alongside restocking Gala goats, benefiting over 1,000 households in the region. “This isn’t just about feeding families today—it’s about empowering them with sustainable support for tomorrow,” remarked Sasaka during the distribution event.
The initiative goes beyond immediate relief; it aims to foster self-sufficiency within the community. By providing both food supplies and livestock, NGAAF is equipping families with the means to improve their livelihoods and secure a more prosperous future.
MP Canon Naomi Waqo emphasized the importance of collaboration in these efforts. “Together, we’re shaping a future of well-being and prosperity for our community. This partnership is a testament to our commitment to building stronger, self-sufficient communities,” she stated.
As NGAAF continues its mission, the focus remains on empowering individuals and families to create lasting change. Through initiatives like this, the organization is paving the way for a more resilient and thriving Marsabit County.
