The Uasin Gishu County Department of Roads, Transport and Public Works is actively working to fulfill the commitments made by Governor H.E Dr. Jonathan Bii under his Nguzo agenda, particularly focusing on infrastructure development.

The governor’s initiative aims to enhance the transport network within the county, significantly benefiting residents and local businesses. Recent inspections conducted in the Kapseret-Simat ward highlighted completed upgrades along key routes, including the Airport-Chepkatet-Ng’aniat-Forest road and the Kapseret Centre-Miti Mbao-Lemok road.

These improvements are expected to ease transportation, promote trade, and improve communication within the region. The ongoing rehabilitation of both rural and urban roads, alongside drainage enhancements, is set to attract a surge of investors to Eldoret, bolstering economic activity.

Governor Dr. Bii emphasized the importance of these projects, assuring residents that his administration is committed to reducing transportation costs for traders and farmers, thereby facilitating easier access to markets and farms.

As the county continues to transform its infrastructure, local leaders and residents express optimism about the positive impacts on trade and overall economic growth.
