DCI Offers Cash Reward for Information Leading to Re-Arrest of Murder Suspect Collins Jumaisi
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has announced a cash reward for anyone who can provide information leading to the re-arrest of Collins Jumaisi, the main suspect in the recent quarry massacre. Jumaisi has been on the run since escaping from the Gigiri police station on August 20, 2024, along with 12 other inmates.
Law enforcement agencies have intensified their efforts to locate Jumaisi, who confessed to the murders of 42 women, including his wife, following the grim discovery of bodies at a quarry dumpsite earlier in August. The DCI has urged the public to come forward with any leads, emphasizing that even small details can be crucial in tracking down the fugitive.
In a public appeal made on Monday, the DCI encouraged Kenyans to report any information anonymously through the #FichuakwaDCI hotline at 080072203. Additionally, individuals can contact police via hotlines 999, 911, and 112, or visit any police station across the country.
“The support of the community is vital in our pursuit of justice. We are committed to ensuring that all suspects are brought to justice,” the DCI stated.
While the exact amount of the cash reward has not been disclosed, the DCI’s announcement highlights the urgency and importance of re-arresting Jumaisi. The public’s cooperation could significantly impact the ongoing investigation into this high-profile case.
