Moi University will resume its academic activities on Monday, November 11, 2024, following a decision by the university’s Senate to reopen after a disruption in the academic calendar. The announcement was made through an internal memo signed by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Isaac Sanga Kosgey, after a meeting held on Thursday, November 7, 2024.

The memo confirmed that the Senate had approved the resumption of classes, which had been temporarily suspended due to unforeseen circumstances. The university has called on all students to report back to campus by Monday at 8:00 AM, marking the official reopening of the institution.

“This is therefore to announce the opening of the University with immediate effect. Students are to report back for their studies and classes are to resume on Monday, 11th November 2024, at 8:00 AM,” the memo read.

Prof. Kosgey also took the opportunity to thank the students for their patience and understanding during the period when the university’s academic programs were disrupted. The Vice-Chancellor expressed appreciation for the support shown by students, staff, and the broader university community during this challenging time.

The resumption of academic activities at Moi University comes after a period of uncertainty, and students are now expected to resume their studies with a renewed focus on completing their academic programs.

Students have been encouraged to return to campus in time for the start of classes, as the university seeks to restore normalcy and move forward with its academic objectives.
