Jijenge Credit Limited’s CEO, Peter Macharia Kamau, Wishes Men Well on International Men’s Day
On the occasion of International Men’s Day, celebrated globally on November 19, Jijenge Credit Limited’s Founder, Managing Director, and CEO, Mr. Peter Macharia Kamau, extended heartfelt wishes to all men, acknowledging their invaluable contributions to society.
International Men’s Day is a day set aside to celebrate and honor the achievements of men worldwide, while also addressing important issues such as mental health, gender equality, and positive masculinity. This year’s theme, “Men’s Health Champions,” focuses on improving men’s overall health and well-being, with an emphasis on physical, emotional, social, and spiritual wellness.
In his message, Mr. Kamau highlighted the importance of appreciating the men in our lives—whether fathers, brothers, partners, or friends—who contribute in meaningful ways to their communities. He also recognized the unique challenges that men face, including mental health struggles, higher suicide rates, and societal pressures.
“International Men’s Day serves as an opportunity to appreciate the men in our lives. Beyond celebration, it sheds light on the challenges men face, such as mental health issues, high rates of suicide, and the societal pressures they often bear. This day encourages us to break down stereotypes, foster open conversations, and build support systems that allow men to lead healthier and happier lives,” said Mr. Kamau.
The observance of International Men’s Day this year stresses the need for collective action to promote healthier lifestyles, provide better access to healthcare, and create supportive environments where men can thrive. By celebrating “Men’s Health Champions,” the global community aims to recognize individuals and organizations working to reduce health disparities and challenges faced by men.
Mr. Kamau concluded his message by urging everyone to reflect on the importance of supporting the health and well-being of men and to take steps toward creating an inclusive environment where men feel empowered to seek help and take care of their mental and physical health.
