Governor Natembeya Launches Trans Nzoia County Assembly’s 2023-2027 Strategic Plan

In a significant move aimed at fostering growth and improving service delivery, Trans Nzoia County Governor George Natembeya today presided over the official launch of the County Assembly’s 2023-2027 Strategic Plan.

The event, held at the County Assembly Chambers, highlighted the strategic steps set to drive institutional development and support the Assembly in its quest to fulfill its mandate.

Governor Natembeya, in his address, emphasized the importance of strategic planning in ensuring that the County Assembly remains efficient, responsive, and capable of meeting the needs of Trans Nzoia’s residents. “The launch of this plan is a milestone in strengthening the Assembly’s ability to deliver quality services to our people. As leaders, it is our responsibility to ensure that the systems within the Assembly are in place to drive sustainable development,” said Governor Natembeya.

The 2023-2027 Strategic Plan outlines a comprehensive framework designed to enhance the institutional capacity of the County Assembly, improve governance processes, and create an environment conducive to growth and innovation. The plan includes initiatives aimed at improving legislative processes, enhancing public participation, and fostering collaboration with other arms of government and stakeholders.

Governor Natembeya reiterated his commitment to continued partnership with the County Assembly in advancing the devolution agenda. “Our collaboration with the County Assembly remains a top priority as we work together to achieve the goals of devolution. Through concerted efforts, we will ensure that Trans Nzoia continues to progress and provide its residents with the services they deserve,” he added.

The Governor also noted that the successful implementation of the strategic plan would play a pivotal role in realizing the vision of a prosperous and self-reliant Trans Nzoia County, where the welfare of the people is prioritized.

The launch was attended by members of the County Assembly, county officials, and other key stakeholders. The strategic plan, which has undergone extensive consultations, is set to guide the Assembly’s operations for the next five years, ensuring it remains at the forefront of governance and service delivery in the region.

Governor Natembeya called on all stakeholders to unite in support of the plan’s implementation, stressing that teamwork and dedication are crucial to achieving the set goals.
