Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya has declared his intention to run for president in the 2032 elections.
Natembeya confirmed that once he completes his term as governor, he will seek the highest office in the land.
Natembeya emphasized that his presidential campaign will focus on accountable and proactive leadership, with a commitment to addressing challenges such as unemployment, poverty, and corruption. “My vision is to lead with transparency and ensure that government resources benefit every citizen,” he said.
He also dismissed speculation that he was interested in running as a deputy presidential candidate, stating that he is solely focused on the presidency.
The governor’s announcement has generated significant interest, as his leadership in Trans Nzoia and public service experience position him as a strong contender for 2027.
