Eldoret National Polytechnic’s Music and Drama Club is geared up and ready to showcase its talents at the upcoming County Cultural Festivals. The event, set to take place at Homecraft in Pioneer, will see the club’s members compete with over 70 items prepared for presentation at the prestigious Kenya Music and Film Festival.

Club Chairman, Elvis Kisiangani, expressed confidence in the team’s readiness, highlighting the high standard of performances that are expected to dominate the festival. “We have over 70 competitive items, and we are fully prepared. We are optimistic that our performances will earn us a trophy,” Kisiangani said, underscoring the club’s anticipation of success.

Kisiangani also invited other students to join the drama club, noting that both experienced performers and those new to drama would be given the opportunity to improve their skills. “Our trainers are dedicated to helping everyone, whether they are already talented or still learning. We welcome all students to be part of this journey,” he added.

Echoing the chairman’s sentiments, the club’s vice-chairperson, Offasa Bernard, reassured the polytechnic community that nothing short of victory is expected from the team. Bernard emphasized that the preparations for the festival have been ongoing since September, and the efforts are set to bear fruit.

“This is just preparation for the 2025 Drama and Music Festivals. We are defending champions in several items nationwide, and this event will serve as the foundation for the competitions next year,” Bernard explained.

With determination and optimism, the Eldoret National Polytechnic drama team is focused on maintaining its reputation as champions at the cultural festivals. The team’s members are ready to shine and bring home more trophies, further cementing the polytechnic’s legacy in the performing arts.
