MSEA North Rift Participates in Women and Youth Empowerment Program
MSEA North Rift recently took part in the second day of a sensitization and empowerment program held in Emgwen, Nandi County. This initiative was a collaborative effort between the area Member of Parliament, the Uwezo Fund, the Kenya Industrial Estates (KIE), the Youth Enterprise Development Fund (YEF), and the Women Enterprise Fund (WEF). The program focused on empowering local women and youth, encouraging them to explore various economic opportunities, with a particular emphasis on sustainable livelihood projects.
During the event, the MSEA team engaged directly with youth from the Jua Kali sector, highlighting the potential roles they could play in initiatives like the Affordable Housing Program (AHP) and market stalls projects. These projects aim to stimulate local economic growth, create sustainable job opportunities, and improve livelihoods for residents of Nandi County.
This initiative is in line with MSEA’s broader mission to empower local communities, promote job creation, and enhance economic resilience across the region. By providing resources, training, and access to funding opportunities, MSEA is committed to supporting the development of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and fostering entrepreneurship among women and youth.
Under the visionary leadership of MSEA CEO Mr. Henry Rithaa, this program reflects the agency’s ongoing commitment to driving inclusive economic development and supporting MSMEs throughout Kenya. Through continued collaboration with local and national partners, MSEA North Rift aims to foster sustainable growth and economic empowerment in Nandi County and beyond.
