Elgeyo Marakwet Governor Swears in New County Officials
In a significant ceremony held today, Governor Wisley Rotich officiated the swearing-in of several key county officials in Elgeyo Marakwet. The ceremony, presided over by Hon. Virginia Karanja, witnessed the appointment of new leaders tasked with steering the county’s development agenda.
Mr. Lazarus Chebii was sworn in as the County Secretary, while Dorcas Cheruiyot assumed office as County Attorney. Dr. Selly Kimosop was also sworn in as the new Chairperson of the County Public Service Board, alongside Loretta Kotut and Samwel Chepkole, who are appointed as members of the Board.
Additionally, the Municipal Board team, which includes Evans Kipkemoi, Laura Kandie, Regina Kimweno, Kimutai Chemitei, Hillary Cherop, Beatrice Korir, and Festus Kirop, were also sworn in to serve the county. The new appointees are expected to play pivotal roles in the delivery of essential services to the residents of Elgeyo Marakwet.
Governor Rotich expressed his confidence in the newly sworn-in officials, urging them to work tirelessly to enhance service delivery and improve the quality of life for the people of Elgeyo Marakwet.
