In a swift and decisive operation on the outskirts of Isiolo town, Transnational Organized Crimes Unit (TOCU) officers, along with a multi-agency team, have apprehended two suspected drug traffickers, Nura Abdi Diba, 25, and Abdillahi Golicha Meja, 27, while in possession of a staggering 57 stones of bhang, a prohibited herb.

The meticulously executed operation began with the interception of a suspicious Toyota Land Cruiser Reg No. KDG 034G within Isiolo town. Further investigation led the team to the residence of Nura Abdi Diba at Kambi Garba Estate, where they discovered a cache of bhang hidden within six gunny bags.

The apprehended suspects and the recovered bhang have been promptly transported to DCI headquarters for in-depth processing and interrogation. Additionally, detectives have uncovered that Abdillahi Golicha Meja holds the position of Member of County Assembly (MCA) for Chari Ward in Isiolo County.

This audacious move by the TOCU officers and the multi-agency team serves as a resounding testament to their unwavering commitment to dismantling the intricate web of drug trafficking operations within Kenya.
